Help for Heroes

Some £2000 was raised at last Saturday’s Help for Heroes Family Fun Night. What a fantastic result for such a worthy cause. Well done to Justine and her helpers for all the hard work they put in to organising the evening’s activities. Many thanks to all those organisations and individuals who donated prizes etc for the auction and raffle. Thanks, also, to all those who performed and helped on the evening and to those many hundreds who came on the evening to give their support. What a poignant ending there was to the evening when the last post was played and hundreds of balloons were released, each one in memory of a service person killed on active duty in the current conflicts. Sadly, the numbers who have died has increased since our event, so your continued support is needed for Help for Heroes and other service charities. THANK YOU.

Pirates at the Windmill Nursery

At Our Convenience

Radio York presenters Russell Walker and Dougie Weake spent a short time in Riccall last week recording a piece for Russell’s morning programme. They are both great fans of Riccall and of the Regen Centre, so much so that Dougie paid us a visit to use our facilities! He was made very welcome and Justine took the opportunity to further extol the virtues of the Centre and to ask Dougie if he would promote our Help the Heroes evening this Saturday on the radio. Dougie promised he would and Justine can be heard talking about the event and the Centre on Radio York this Saturday.
