NYCC’s Adult Learning Courses book for Autumn 2010 has just been issued. Two computer courses are being held at the Regen Centre. One for beginners and one for Ebay buyers and sellers. To celebrate our 10th anniversary we shall be holding a FREE ‘Last Night of the Proms Concert’ on 29 October, with Barlby Foot-Tappers and South Milford Brass.
We shall also be holding a 10th Anniversary Beer, Wine and Cheese Festival on 27/28 November.

Congratulations to Riccall Parish Council for being awarded Quality Status by the NALC, National Association of Local Councils. This puts it in the top 4% in the country.

The Riccall Regen Centre has gained the Duke of York Community Initiative Award for the third time in recognition of its excellent work in providing a range of facilities and events to cater for all parts of the community in Riccall and the wider area. The award was presented by HRH The Duke of York at a ceremony at Huddersfield University in April. Riccall Regen Centre was the only organisation in North Yorkshire to gain the 2010 award.
In May, The Riccall Regen Centre hosted a dinner for visitors from Selby’s twin town of Carentan in France. The dinner was also the first official engagement for Selby’s new MP, Nigel Adams.
Autumn 2010 sees the 10th anniversary of the official opening of the Riccall Regen Centre. It will be marked by a Last Night of the Proms Concert in October and a Beer Festival in November!

The Windmill Nursery at the Riccall Regen Centre has received the final stage payment of the £7000 grant awarded by North Yorkshire County Council to improve its outdoor play provision. The Regen Centre recently hosted a dinner for the Selby – Carentan Twinning Committee. The Committee President sent the following letter of appreciation to our Centre Manager:-
‘Thank you and the staff who looked after us last Saturday for our dinner. It was a huge success and our French visitors were very impressed by your venue. We look forward to seeing you in the future’.
We were extremely pleased to host this event in our ‘Big Top’ internal marquee. The ‘Facilities and Spaces’ section of this website gives more information on how we can cater for such special events.
